Jared Sanford – Valley Behavioral Health

Jared grew up in Murray, Utah, and understood the importance of mental health services at a young age. After graduating from Murray High School, he attended Brigham Young University, where he received a Master’s in Public Administration. Jared has spent an entire career in roles that service the community by providing care to individuals, building strong connections with community partners, and working to expand access to behavioral health treatment. He has served on the frontlines in organizations throughout Utah, and in leadership positions in Utah and Washington State. Jared currently is the President and CEO of Valley Behavioral Health (VBH), the largest behavioral health treatment provider in Utah. Believing in the importance of wrap-around services, Jared and VBH strive to offer behavioral health treatment and services that are high-quality, inclusive, integrated, innovative, and comprehensive. Outside of his work in the field, he enjoys hiking and camping with his wife and two children, and spending time in a quite space to read a good book.
