UBHO Action Fund Endorses Rep. Jim Dunnigan for Utah House District 36

Endorsement recognizes his support for behavioral health service support in Utah

SPRINGVILLE, UTAH — The UBHO Action Fund today announced its endorsement of Rep. Jim Dunnigan for re-election to Utah House District 36, which covers parts of Taylorsville and West Jordan, in the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. The endorsement is based on his support for behavioral health service support in Utah.

Dunnigan has served in the Utah House since 2003 and is currently Speaker Pro Tempore. Before joining the Legislature, he served on Taylorsville’s first City Council from 1996 to 2002 after serving on the Taylorsville/Bennion Community Council from 1991 – 1996.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Rep. Dunnigan has a long history of sponsoring and voting for legislation aimed at expanding access to mental health treatment, addressing substance use, and reforming health insurance coverage for behavioral health services, all of which have had a positive impact on behavioral health services in Utah.

“Representative Jim Dunnigan works tirelessly to make sure that behavioral health services are affordable and accessible to all Utahns,” said UBHO President, Jared Sanford. “Untreated behavioral health conditions impact so many families in Utah, we need Representative Dunnigan to continue to champion these causes in the Utah Legislature.”

The UBHO Action Fund encourages voters in House District 36 to return their ballots by Election Day, Nov. 3.
